Las Margaritas

so a weekend or so ago janie, darlene and i went to las margaritas in vancouver...if you ever want mexican, this is the place to go. well anyway the fun all started on the way there were i almost rear-ended someone in traffic...the key word here is almost. well that was pretty exciting cause i actually was squealing and then when i started to move after, you could see the rubber marks on the road...my good little car. anyway what was funny is that on the way home darlene phoned her husband and described the almost accident as "we were squealing for like 5 minutes and we we stopped like 2 inches away from the car...we almost died" oh and by the way it was more like a foot or two...but it made me laugh hearing her describe it. well apart from that it was a very fun and relaxing evening. oh and the fun didnt end. so when we got to the restaurant we got seated in about 45min...which is pretty good for them. and we had some drinks...our waiter was an older man who i think is an owner of the restaurant, he was so sweet. and we were sitting right next to the bar where there was a bartender (obviously) who looked like wentworth miller...boy did that make the night. he was a real cutie.

ok, back to the owner...well since darlene speaks spanish she thought it would be nice to talk to our waiter in spanish...i think he really appreciated it cause when we were leaving he gave us all t-shirts... thanks darlene.
so it was still relatively early when we left the restaurant and we decided that we should do something else...but we didnt really want to go to a club cause it was around 10 and clubs just get worse after 10 (more drunks), and janie's feet were sore from freezing dozens and dozens of corn that day (took 6 hours and she was walking on her tip toes the whole night) so we decided we would see a movie, so we went back to langley and watched little miss sunshine...what a great movie. if you ever want to laugh your ass off, go see that movie. so all in all it was a fantastic night out. thanks for all the fun and laughs.

The Friendly Giant

my sister sent me this and it brought back so many memories...i dont know if all of you remember the friendly giant and his friends rooster and rusty (can you figure out who is who)...rooster was always in a sac on the wall, i couldnt for the life of me ever figure out why he was in the sac, or what he did when he said goodbye and disappeared. and then there were always two chairs by the fire for anyone who likes to read and a rocking chair for those that like to rock. and of course the famous line...look up, look waaaay up. oh yeah, and in the beginning you go through the snowy village and then you come to his big boot, and he says he will go inside and let the drawbridge down so you could come in...wow, that was a great show. i always wanted to live in that castle...what great memories. im not sure what the whole show was about anymore, but i remember that the friendly giant always had songs that he would sing. but i think there must have been small skits or stories that he read too. hoped you all liked this blast from the past.

Well it was fantastic...as usual. and this time sarah had calamari. she said it was really good. some of the pieces were actually little octopuses it was quite weird. well that was about it...oh yeah and we saw danny there...again. oh and and a warning to all if any of you know who danny is if you ever see him in a bar, pub, restaurant, gas station, line up or anywhere for that matter, do not talk to him as he will make you put it on your blog... so this is it until the next time i see danny...til then. :)

Kyle's Break

i know this is from a while back but i thought these were some really good pics. so in may my brother broke his arm rollerblading...you will have to ask him about the whole crazy story...its quite a good story...anyway, these pics are from when he got his cast off. they had to take xrays to see if it healed properly and as you can see everything is in place. side view
front view...i really like this pic. and i kinda looks like i have an x-ray camera...lol
the first time kyles arm had seen light in 5 weeks it looks pretty pale...and i know you cant see it in this pic, but his hair had actually grown really long.
ah the sweet smell of sweat and bo saved up for 5 weeks...yummy. well now his arm is all healed and it has been tanned and the hair is back to normal.
