cleo's new post

this is cleo's new favorite spot... i have a chair right by the window and she sits there with her head through the blinds looking around. She only does this when I leave as if I am home she is right next to me.

I dont know if she sits there the whole day, but she is usually there when i leave for work, and she is there again when i come home from work... so if you are driving by take a peak and see if she is there... curious???

Alphabet Dinners

My friend Hama and I came up with this idea quite randomly... we were out getting food to eat when (at the cash register) we realized that all our food began with P (perogies, POM juice, and pull apart cake... i know sounds good doesnt it :P). so we decided that once i moved into my new place we would start with A and work our way through the alphabet. Well it was my turn this month... so here are some pictures of our dinner.

so here it is... our dinner. (clockwise from top right) we had artichoke and asiago dip, asparagas (grilled on the bbq with garlic, salt, pepper and oil), apricot glazed pork tenderloin (very yummy and easy to make), an avacado and papaya salad (i also added some mango), and to drink we had some apple wine. I made the salad, asparagas, and pork, and hama brought the wine and dip. and for dessert christine made a delicious apple pie... from scratch... boy was that good.

yummy... perfect way to finish off a meal.

i know this is quite dark, but this took a couple tries, and the ice cream was melting so we just had to eat it.

but boy was that a good dinner... cant wait for the B dinner... hmmm, what to make.

At the beach

since sunday was such a beautiful day hama, oliver & i decided to go to the beach... we to to the beach around 1030ish and we stayed for almost four hours... it was a great day... we saw some cool sea life and some weird stuff... but it was good.

here is a crab we saw... i know it looks huge in the picture, but i forgot i had my zoom on... hee hee... but it was quite big for being at white rock... if it pinched it would hurt... *owww*
here's a bull head we saw... i was about the length of your hand... again, not too bad for white rock i know you can barely make that out, but you can see cleo chasing after the seagulls. we also saw heron on the beach and a bald eagle... he was pretty big, and he was just sitting on the sand... so crazy

oh yeah, and thi was a couple that came by after... its just funny cause everything is the same color... the umbrella, their shirts, their pants, even their spray bottle sitting beside them... i just couldnt resist taking a picture

Jane & JM... Fianlly hitched

on 07 07 07 jane and jm got married... here are just a few pictures... only my favorite, there are just too many to post. it was a beautiful day for a great wedding... everyone had a good time... or so i decided... but how can you not have fun at a wedding... anyway, enjoy the pics.

Condo Pics from Early July

So my condo is starting to look more and more ready to move in... the floor is in and it is looking nice. I move in at the end of the month and i am pretty darn excited.... even a bit scared... i signed my life away at the end of june... boy was that weird... i will now be in debt for the rest of my life... a weird way to look at it i think, but it is true... but on the brighter side (as there is a lot) i will soon have my own place that i can decorate however i please and can walk around in my underwear all day long (not that i would, but i can). anyway, hopefully everyone can come by and see my new place once i move in, but phone first... i might be in my underwear... hehe.

(PS... i dont know why the top is all underlined, but i couldnt change it... oh well)

Suicide Cake at the Murv

Maria, Sarah and I went to the Murv for wings... ohhh the yummy honey garlic wings. well when we finished the wings we just weren't full. well i was full (or i thought i was), but sarah wanted something sweet, and maria was up for it too. So we got what's called a suicide cake... our waiter described it at a very large chocolate cake... she paused, and then said that we would be able to share it no problem... we should have known then. Here is the surprise we got... boy was it yummy.

it was delicious... the picture below was after i had finished... no i didn't eat all of it, but i just couldnt eat anymore, but it was good.

all finished... maria especially loved this cake... but she was eating for two.
