Puppy Scare

well last night one of the puppies fell from my bed... or the stand beside my bed where they sleep... jack had done this before and he was fine, so at 4am i assumed that the puppy was fine as he stopped squeaking once i picked him up... then during the night jack kept squeaking and it was so loud that i could not sleep... so i kept holding him, and then i realized that he was really wet around his mouth, so i turned on the light to find that he was drooling... oh how nice. so i let him gnaw on my finger for a while thinking that he was teething and that it was sore... which he is teething, but thats not why he was so fussy. so in the morning i bring them all up and tell the whole story to my mom over breakfast. then as i am about to leave i pick up jack one last time... he was squealing... and then i see that his eye is quite swollen, and there is puss... aaahhhhh... obviously my mind starts racing... did he hit something, maybe he is the one that fell and he hurt his eye in the fall... so i phone the vet right away and rush off with all the puppies and cleo in the laundry basket... and while driving, since there is nothing else to think about, i start thinking about the worse possible case. such as... what if he has to have his eye removed, what if he hurt his eye really badly and then actually hurt his brain... will he live... and i kept checking to make sure he was breathing. so now that i am thoroughly freaked out of my mind i get to the vet... i feel like i am about to burst out in tears... so the vet sees us, and i tell him the whole story of jack falling out of the basket, and then thinking that he may have hit his eye... and then he says...'well i dont think he fell, it looks like it is just an infection'... so he goes off and cleans it up and while he is away, i shed a few tears of relief... how the mind goes crazy when you dont know whats going on... so he comes back and i ask a few questions, and that is that... no big vet bill, no surgery, jack still has both eyes and will be perfectly fine... im such a worry wart.

My Birthday

so it was my moms, thans, and my birthday all in a week so we had the family over and celebrated them all together... you like my cake decorating skills... not the best, but what can you do, next time i will have to get maria to decorate them... im sure it will turn out much better.

this is nathaniel, and his gift for me... over the hedge... great movie, love it... anyway, since he is a boy, he does not really know how to wrap any gifts... as you can see, this one is wrapped in toilet paper... and, the shocker, its kept together with a bandaid... how very creative. lol

More Puppies

so the puppies are getting bigger by the second it seems. they love to just squirm around as they do not yet have enough strength in their legs to walk... as well their eyes are not open yet. i find it funny that her normal puppies would be about this size at say five or six weeks... these guys are only a week... this should be fun.

this is dane, cleo is probably the most protective of him... hes the runt.
dane sleeping... must be a deep sleep...cute little paws... they are just sooo small. you can see cleos massive paw beside it. its kinda weird to think that those little paws will probably be bigger than cleos some day. awwww

More Puppy Pictures

well as promised here are more puppy pictures for those of you who are looking... i swear they have already grown about an inch... i know they are only 2 days old, but they do grow quickly when they are puppies... and the dad is a shitzu... and you can really tell it in the puppies... two of them have the usual shitzu underbite, and two have wavy hair... you can really see this in the last picture... but for now they still are little bind squirmy things that squeak and whine...but still cute.

well everyone...cleo had puppies. she had 3 black (as you can tell) boys...all boys...what is that. well the names are charlie, jack and dane... i still cant believe they are all boys... but what cuties.
