the cabin
a few weekends ago i went up to my parents cabin with my brother, his girlfriend, and another couple that are friends with my brother... it was such a relaxing weekend. like a winter wonderland up there.this is a picute of the car in a semi's wheel... i thought it looked pretty cool. so on our way up we forgot that the freeway between chilliwack and hope was closed due to mud slides so the ride up took us a couple extra hours... good thing we had some music.then when we finally got up to the cabin there was a huge bluff of snow blocking the driveway. the snow was almost up to our knees and we had to haul a bunch of stuff down the to cabin... oh what fun... and yes, that jeep in the picture below went over the hill and down the driveway a bit, but then got stuck. this is the lake view from the dock in the morning... there was no rain, just a bit of snow on the last day as we were leaving. but it was beautifu with the lake all frozen and the the sun shining... ahhh, how relaxing.morning on the lake this is cleo trying to get the squirrel (below). i think the same squirrel is there every time we go up and i think it remembers cleo cause it will torment her for hours on end... squeaks at her through the window, and then when she gets out the door it runs for the tree and will keep on squeaking. what a tease
walking across the lake with than and cleo... this is the first time i went up in the colder seasons and i loved walking on the lake... such a neat thing to see your cabin from the other side of the lake... and not in a boat.
than on the frozen patch by our dock... it could even be a hockey rink... mmmm
view from the beginning of the dock.

yikes! hope you took lots of warm clothes!
i think it will be fun to one day bring our families somewhere like that and watch the boys take the kids out on the lake and we will sit inside by the fire, sipping hot cocoa and watch through the window. -sigh-

Looks like you guys had a good time. Nice to have a place to go to relax a bit. Too bad about the long drive up. Oh well, like you said, at least you had music
